Refund, Deposit, and Delivery Policy

At Sanded with Love, we aim to deliver high-quality, uniquely crafted furniture and exceptional customer service. To ensure transparency and a smooth purchasing process, please review our policies below.

All Sales Are Final
Due to the unique, handmade, and/or restored nature of our items, all sales are final. We strongly encourage you to carefully review photos, descriptions, and measurements before purchasing.

Refunds for Damaged Items: Refunds for items damaged during shipping will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. For inquiries, contact us at info@sandedwithlove.com.

Deposits
To secure a furniture hold or delivery, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit reserves your item and covers preparation costs.

Payment Options:

  • Venmo: Payment details will be provided during checkout.

  • Invoice: For this option, provide your email address. The invoice must be paid promptly to secure your item.

Important Notes:

  • Deposits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to other items or services.

  • Custom order deposits are also non-refundable and non-transferable. Please review your custom agreement carefully before proceeding.

  • Items will not be held or prepared until the deposit is received.

  • Final payment for the remaining balance is due at the time of delivery. Please ensure payment is prepared in advance to avoid delays. Payment options will be confirmed during the coordination of delivery details.

Customization and Special Orders
For custom furniture orders, customers will receive a detailed agreement outlining the work, terms and conditions, and payment details. This agreement must be reviewed and signed before work begins.

Delivery and Pickup Terms
Delivery Terms:

  • Delivery is curb-to-curb for safety reasons. Buyers are responsible for arranging assistance to bring the item into their home.

  • Sanded with Love is not responsible for any damage that occurs after curb-to-curb delivery. Buyers are encouraged to arrange for professional movers if additional handling is required.

  • Delivery times will be scheduled after your payment is confirmed.

  • Buyers must ensure accessibility for delivery, including clear pathways, entryways, and designated furniture placement.

  • If the buyer is unavailable at the scheduled delivery time, a rescheduling fee may apply.

Pickup Policy:

  • Local pickups must be scheduled in advance and completed within 7 days of notification that the item is ready, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • After 7 days, a $15/day storage fee will apply. If an item is unclaimed for 30 days, it will be considered abandoned, and Sanded with Love reserves the right to retain the deposit and resell the item.

  • Abandoned items may be resold or repurposed at Sanded with Love’s discretion. Deposits and storage fees will not be refunded under these circumstances.

Furniture Condition and Care
All items are either handmade, refurbished, or restored. Minor imperfections, variations in finish, and natural wear from the restoration process are part of the piece’s character and are not considered defects.

Care Instructions:

  • Use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to clean surfaces. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture.

  • Protect surfaces from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight to prevent warping or fading.

  • Use coasters, placemats, or protective pads under heavy or sharp objects to avoid scratches.

  • Tighten any hardware periodically to maintain stability.

By purchasing restored or handmade items, buyers acknowledge that natural variations, imperfections, and signs of restoration are inherent to the piece and are part of its character. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage, which is not covered under this policy.

Damaged Packages
If your item arrives damaged, we will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.

  • Notify Us Within 48 Hours: Contact info@sandedwithlove.com with a description and photos of the damage.

  • Investigation: We will review your claim and may request additional evidence.

  • Resolution: Depending on the findings, we may issue a replacement, arrange a repair, or provide a refund. Refunds will only be issued after the claim has been resolved.

Lost or Stolen Packages
Sanded with Love is not responsible for lost or stolen packages where delivery was confirmed to the provided address. Delivery confirmation details can be provided upon request. For high-value items, buyers may request additional insurance coverage at the time of purchase.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Gift cards.

  • Digital products (e-books, courses, etc.) are non-returnable and non-refundable due to the nature of instant access.

  • Custom or personalized orders.

Payment Issues and Disputes
In the event of a payment dispute (e.g., Venmo reversal, invoice non-payment):

  • Orders will not proceed until the issue is resolved.

  • Sanded with Love reserves the right to cancel the order if the payment issue is not addressed within 48 hours.

  • If a payment dispute is not resolved within the specified timeframe, Sanded with Love reserves the right to cancel the order and retain any applicable deposits.

  • Sanded with Love is not responsible for issues caused by third-party platforms (e.g., Venmo).

Force Majeure
Sanded with Love is not liable for delays or non-performance caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of nature, transportation delays by third-party providers, supply chain disruptions, or other emergencies.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of Texas, and any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts in Texas.

Legal Disclaimers

  • Sanded with Love is not responsible for damages caused by improper use, mishandling, or failure to follow care instructions.

  • Buyers assume responsibility for ensuring the furniture’s compatibility with their space (e.g., size, weight, style).
